Heritage Hounds is on the search for a new team member that shares my unwavering passion for dogs!

The successful candidate must:

• Absolutely love dogs!

• Have confidence and experience working with dogs of all breeds and sizes.

• Have an Australian drivers licence and own vehicle to travel between bookings.

• Be available between 10am - 2pm, 1 - 3 days per week (week days), with the opportunity to increase days/hours if desired by the successful candidate.

• Be physically fit and thrive in outdoor environments. Embracing all weather conditions, including sunshine, wind, and rain!

• Have the ability to work independently without supervision.

• Have outstanding time management, customer service and communication skills.

• Be capable of keeping their cool in unexpected and stressful situations.

• Have a smart phone with data to take photos and videos.

• Prior experience in dog-related roles or animal shelter environments is preferred

• Provide a current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

Position responsibilities:

• Visit clients homes within Canberra's inner north suburbs, walk and/or yard play with the dogs as per their needs and requirements.

• Provide a fun and safe experience for dogs at all times.

• Monitoring behaviour, being aware of any issues and attempting to improve where necessary.

• Taking photos and videos of dogs on outings for the owners and social media.

What’s on offer:

• $30 per hour, super + travel allowance

• This is a casual position, leading to a permanent part time position for the right applicant.

• Ongoing training (pet CPR, dog walking skills, etc.) 

• Loads of support and working in a fun environment.
